# Custom Domain

It is possible to order a custom domain instead the usually used \*.fidentity.ch domain.

To successfully configure a customer domain we need to accomplish the following three steps:

* fidentity generates CSR (certificate signing request)
* You sign the CSR and return the certificate back to us
* Configure your DNS with a CNAME to the defined tenant name. Usually:\
  `<your ordered domain>    CNAME    <tenant>.app.fidentity.ch`
